About two months ago I started playing around with BCI technologies. In my <a href="http://storm.uni-mb.si/">faculty's laboratory (FERI LSPO)</a> I connected the sensors to my melon and started experimenting..<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Calibration session</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
On the pictures above I'm using the <a href="http://www.bci2000.org/">BCI2000</a> tool suite and the <a href="http://www.gtec.at/Products/Hardware-and-Accessories/g.USBamp-Specs-Features">g.USBAmp amplifier</a> to record and interpret my <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electroencephalography">EEG (brain)</a> signals. <div>
<br /></div>
<h2 style="text-align: left;">
<b>How it works?</b></h2>
<div>
Using the projected character matrix (on the screen) the user can focus on the character he wants to spell and count how many times it blinked. After a few blinks the algorithm recognises which character you are focusing on and displays it on the screen. This can be achieved thanks to the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P300_%28neuroscience%29">P300 potential</a> that appears in the brain signals "every" time we recognise that the character flashed.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After a few days of painfully trying to clear my mind and focus my thoughts, I have finally succeeded to calibrate the damn thing and spell "THE" using only my brain!! :) Happy, happy me!</div>

<h2 style="text-align: left;">
So what do we do now?</h2>
Same thing we do every night Pinky; <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzZmU0aGmcc">TRY TAKE OVER THE WORLD</a>!</div>

So after a short Sherlock Holmes moment I managed to remember the password and will try to run two blogs at the same time.. talk about multitasking, HA? :)<br /><br />Well, the link is here: <a href="http://oresic.blog.siol.net/">The Noname Blog</a>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8602216165202133013.post-32393621292876878462009-07-01T13:01:00.000+02:002009-07-01T16:23:12.865+02:00A site in flash...While I am working on my main project, I usually get away with "relaxing" by taking up a smaller project in some other technology (other coding language). (This is one of the reasons I don't write every-month posts on blogs :) ) This time, it is a Full flash website for a waterbed selling company: Vodne postelje KazZ! <div>So, me and my friend <a href="http://twitter.com/saskec">Saša Kuhar</a>, who took over the design, worked really hard to make this ASAP. The result is here: <a href="http://www.kazz.si/">KazZ Waterbeds</a></div><div><a href="http://www.kazz.si/"></a>Because -I admit- do not know all the computer languages, I tend to figure something out when the project is almost finished. But because I like to throw something new in every project I am part of, I HAD to do it. :) This time, it was <a href="http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/">SWFObject</a>.<br /><div>Because of the animations an different types of menus, I struggled quite a bit to get it working. Now every page in the Flash site has a underlying SE-Friendly HTML page.</div><div>Try it yourself:</div><div><ul><li><a href="http://www.kazz.si/jedra.html">Jedra</a> </li><li><a href="http://www.vodnapostelja.com/garancija.html">Garancija</a></li><li><a href="http://www.kazz.si/kontakt.html">Kontakt</a></li><li><a href="http://www.kazz.si/dobrojutro.html">"Dobro jutro" Waterbed</a></li></ul><div>I have one more thing to show you:</div><div>Because I am a fan of fancy things, I convinced the company owner <a href="http://www.facebook.com/nejczh?ref=ts">Nejc Zorko Horvat</a> that it would be cool if costumers could build their own waterbed and by one click just mail the order to him. The result is here: <a href="http://www.kazz.si/sestavisam.html">Build-it-your-self-waterbed</a></div></div></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8602216165202133013.post-88970828917552710192007-11-19T16:50:00.000+01:002007-11-19T16:51:52.293+01:00The first LOG INAfter a easy registration this is my first post at my blog. :PUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0
